I moved to Springvale, in 2006 so I have met many of you. Some of you might remember me from my restaurant (French Connection / Fusion Bistro). Some of you I have met when I was on the Sanford Planning Board, the Trails Committee, or a couple runs for City Council. You might see me at YMCA, the Elk's, or the Springvale Social Club. I am happy and grateful to be a part of your community, and I look forward to meeting many more of my neighbors as I undertake this campaign.
What we have here in Maine is very special. In an ever-globalizing world, our way of life is under pressure from forces far removed from our beautiful little towns. Our clean air, and water, safe streets, accessible services, back yards, and community are precious, and I aim to help sustain that.
We need to create an economic environment in Maine that allows our great businesses to compete and grow in today's marketplace. We need to govern efficiently to best use the limited resources we have. And lastly we need common sense social policies that do not divide us.
Our politics today are polarized. In issue after issue we see positions being stalked out that are more relative to what the other party is doing, and not related to the solution to the issue. I pledge to address the issues facing us with an open mind, but firm ideals. Running under a party banner can be easier. The party will help you, get elected, but there is an expected quid pro quo. Will you support their issues blindly and will you support their current leadership. I will not be told what to think be either party, and I will not rally behind an idea I disagree with to fit in. That is why I am running independent.
Basically I had to.
I am running Clean Elections candidate because I believe elections should be publicly funded, so that the influence of money can be reduced.
With Clean Elections funding a candidate has the ability to raise nearly $20,000 for a contested election like this one.
As a Clean elections candidate, I pledge to use the clean election funds for materials, and advertising only. None of the clean elections funds will come back to me or anyone on my campaign.

During my campaigning I have heard concerns about dozens of issues from constituents in District 141.
I have a Youtube channel where I will be talking more about the issues as I learn more about them, and find ways to help.
